• Under federal law, public schools must look for, find, and evaluate kids who need special education.
• This is called Child Find, and it covers kids from birth through age 21.
• It applies to all kids, including those who are homeschooled or in private schools, plus kids who are migrants or without homes.

This resource allows your child to be evaluated by a professional to determine whether or not services like speech or occupational therapy are needed. Therapists come to our classrooms or to your home to observe and evaluate each child to give parents and kids a pathway for intervention. This early intervention gives us as parents and teachers the tools we need to help a child thrive at school and at home.
